Hi Mike, thanks for your post on Twitter this morning which alerted me to this place. I love Asian pastries and Bubble Pi's menu looks great, so I will have to check this place out next time I'm in Squirrel Hill!

I have yet to truly figure out the hours for this place as every time I try to stop by she's already closed. But I must admit, I'm definitely tempted by the Asian goodies she has posted outside the place! If the red bean buns and the zongzi are as good as the rest of the baked goods, I'll be going there every day!

I'm so excited to see such a lengthly review of Bubble Pi! I'm a regular and I have to say, that while I like the cookies, my favorite items are the Chinese buns and the Asian style pastries located in the ice cream freezer to the left as you walk in. The Asian style pastries have a finer texture and are much less sweet than the standard geagle cake. As for the Chinese buns (listed as Homemade brioche on the menu in the picture), you should try one that is freshly baked. Those are fantastic! I often go on the weekends and she always has a couple of varieties that have been baked that day.
