I’m currently a software engineer for a large-ish tech company but spend most of my free time exploring the culinary world. From baking bread, to brewing beer, to touring local restaurants, I constantly search out the gory details of what we eat, how it’s prepared, and where to find something exciting and different. I created this space to document my explorations and start a conversation with anyone who feels strongly enough to chime in.

Hey Mike – I can’t believe it took me so long to find this blog! We met when you were an organizer in the Pittsburgh Dining N’At Meetup. I like that you’re talking about the unknown places – I’m not a native Pittsburgher so this will be very helpful for me.

Hey Susan! I’m glad you eventually found my site. Now I’m an organizer for the FoodBurgh Meetup and the Beer Meetup, so I’m actually still doing the Meetup thing.
It’s good to know you appreciate the unknowns. Those are my favorite ones to write about.

Greetings,
My name is Samantha Peters and I want to know if you allow guest posts on FoodBurgh?
One of my goals in 2012 is to write and contribute more articles related to eating delicious food around Pittsburgh and other interesting restaurant news for fellow food lovers on a great site like yours.
Please know any article I submit will be unique, specifically written for your site, and never published anywhere else.
Is this something that you would be interested in?
I look forward to hearing back about the opportunity to contribute a guest post.
Thanks,
Samantha Peters
P.S. If you don’t allow guest posts maybe we could discuss another option where you will be compensated for reviewing and publishing a post.

Great blog, love the detail and love for beer. I am new to food blogging so I like to read yours for ideas. Also being new to the area it gives me direction on where to find great food and, of course, great beer. Thanks for expanding my pallet.
